Getting here

downtownSeveral airlines offer regular service to St. John’s including Air Canada, WestJet, Continental/United Airlines, Provincial Airlines, Porter Airlines, and Air Saint-Pierre.

Please remember to check your arrangements and make sure that you are booked to fly to St. John’s (YYT) – you wouldn’t want to find yourself in Saint John, New Brunswick while your colleagues are here in Newfoundland.

To get from the airport to the University, you will need to take a taxi. Taxis from the airport to most city hotels operate on a flat-rate basis. However, transportation to the airport is at metered rates. Public transit and shuttle buses are not available at the airport.

If you choose to drive to St. John’s, Marine Atlantic operates the ferry service between North Sydney, NS and Port aux Basques, NL – approximately 900 Km or a 9.5 hour drive from St. John’s if you come straight through. It might sound like a long drive, but the scenery along the way combined with the opportunity for a side-trip or two would make it worthwhile. Visit the provincial tourism site, NewfoundlandLabrador.com, for some ideas to make your visit a memorable one.
